Because times and locations for meetings may change occasionally, check the monthly calendar (at the bottom of our website) to confirm meetings you would like to attend and learn of other events that are upcoming. Ministry Activities

Liturgical Ministries

Students can bring their gifts by volunteering as lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, hospitality ministers, coordinators or by joining the choir as a singer or instrumentalist. Contact Fr. Matthew or Debbie Bezilla for more information. If you would like more information about the music ministry, please contact Phil Torbert directly.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Provides weekly education sessions in a warm learning community for those who are interested in joining the Catholic Church. Meetings start in the Fall Semester and continue most Wednesday evenings. Alternate meeting time is available, contact Fr. Matthew.

Worship Groups

Bread of Life

A charismatic prayer group that celebrates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a weekly hour of praise and fellowship. Meets weekly on Tuesdays in Eisenhower Chapel or the Meditation Chapel after the evening Mass. Contact the office for more information.

Korean Ministry

Celebrates Mass weekly in Pasquerilla Center; please contact the office for more information.

Saturday Night Alive in Christ (SNAC)

A blend of Eucharistic Adoration with Contemporary Christian music, personal witness and reflection. Meets monthly. Contact the office for more information.

Fellowship & Study Groups

Graduate Group

A group addressing the needs of graduate students and young professionals in the Penn State Catholic Community. Meets twice monthly. Contact the office for the next meeting date. More info: Fr. David

Women Seeking God & Men Seeking God

Groups of Catholic women and men, respectively, that meet to discuss issues that face Catholics today. Contact the office for more information.

Service Groups

Newman Catholic Student Association

A university student organization that encourages religious growth through retreats, prayer nights, bible study, attendance at Mass and weekly meetings. Meets Mondays in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. For more information see their website.

Project Haiti

Raises funds and collects other supplies for people living in poverty in Haiti. During Spring Break, if the political situation allows, the group travels to Haiti to interact with the people there and assist in their needs. Learn more on their website.
