Ministry Volunteers
Liturgical Ministries
Students can bring their gifts by volunteering as lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, hospitality ministers, coordinators or by joining the choir as a singer or instrumentalist. Contact the office for more information; you can also sign up for training session information.
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
Provides weekly education sessions in a warm learning community for those who are interested in joining the Catholic Church. Meetings start in the Fall Semester and continue most Wednesday evenings. Alternate meeting times are available.
Other Worship Opportunities
Bread of Life
A charismatic prayer group that celebrates the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a weekly hour of praise and fellowship. Meets weekly on Tuesdays in Eisenhower Chapel or the Meditation Chapel after the evening Mass. Contact the office for more information.
Byzantine Ministry
The Central Pennsylvania Byzantine Catholic Churches are under the Byzantine-Ruthenian Archeparchy of Pittsburgh, and are in full communion with the Holy Ecumenical Pontiff Francis, the Pope of Rome.
The Central Pennsylvania Byzantine Catholic Communities are Dormition of the Mother of God (Clarence), St. John the Baptist (Hawk Run), and St. Basil Community (State College), and all three are served by Fr. James Ragan and Deacons Jack Custaney and Dennis Prestash.
Korean Ministry

Saturday Night Alive in Christ (SNAC)
A blend of Eucharistic Adoration with contemporary Christian music, personal witness and reflection. Meets monthly. Contact the office for more information.
Fellowship & Study
Newman Catholic Student Association
A Catholic student-run organization that encourages religious growth through retreats, prayer nights, bible study, attendance at Mass, and weekly meetings. Meets most Monday evenings in the Frizzell Room in Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. For more information see their website.
Grad Group
A group addressing the needs of graduate students and young professionals in the Penn State Catholic Community. Meets twice monthly. Contact the office to be added to the Grad Group mailing list.
Fall & Spring Retreats
Student-led opportunities to get away from the hectic pace of campus life during the semester and grow closer to God and your fellow Catholic students. Retreats include meals and lodging for a nominal fee, but financial assistance is available if the cost is a barrier.
Women Seeking God & Men Seeking God
Groups for women and men that meet to discuss issues that face Catholics today. Contact the office for more information.
